The PHC is proud to announce another big winner at the Painted Hand Casino, where winners play. At 11:05 a.m. on October 31, 2012, Garry from the Yorkton Region was the lucky winner of our Smoke Signals Progressive Slot Jackpot which was a whopping $480, 226.
Garry was very ecstatic and has already made plans he wishes to take his wife 'on a trip' and we couldn't be any happier for him.
Painted Hand Casino has always been, and will continue to be, a proud and responsible supporter of the community. 'We are very happy for Garry,' says Painted Hand General Manager, Mr. Jonathan Pasap, 'but, more importantly, we are overjoyed that it was one of our very own patrons had won the big prize. It's always a good thing to see one of our members of our local community win big'.
Smoke Signals is SIGA's largest progressive jackpot. It is a wide-area progressive that links slot machines from all six SIGA casinos. It starts at $250,000 and builds ('progresses') as people play, until someone wins the major jackpot. The jackpot can be won at any of the SIGA casinos: the Gold Eagle Casino in North Battleford, the Northern Lights Casino in Prince Albert, the Dakota Dunes Casino on the Whitecap Dakota First Nations near Saskatoon, the Living Sky Casino in Swift Current, the Painted Hand Casino in Yorkton, and the Bear Claw Casino on the White Bear First Nation near Carlyle.
The Painted Hand Casino is one of six Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority's (SIGA), First Nation owned, casinos in Saskatchewan. SIGA is a non-profit organization whereby all profits revert back into our communities, the province and to our stakeholders. Painted Hand Casino first opened its doors in Yorkton on December 14, 1996. In 2009, PHC moved from the original down town location into an expanded location. Offering much more than just a gaming experience; our beautiful facility boasts a deli/lounge, over two-hundred twenty-five slot machines and seven table games and the full-service Legends Restaurant. The beautiful Parkland Room (host to concerts, conventions and more), is home to Yorkton's premier Sunday Brunch. - just some of the many reasons that Painted Hand Casino is Yorkton's #1 Entertainment Destination.

The Dakota Dunes Casino is small by some standards, yet it is as welcome as any casino I have visited. The Dunes is located just 20-30 minutes from downtown and many major hotels. The Dunes is one of the few casinos that offers a smoking room for its players. There was also no hassle finding a place to park as I did not take the casino shuttle.
