On behalf of the entire Will OC Media team, we thank you for following the Rivers Poker blog during the Pittsburgh Poker Open. In total, over a dozen main event champions were crowned throughout the record breaking series and the passion, excitement and enthusiasm that we saw from everyone that participated in the PPO series was amazing.
The series culminated with the Poker Night in America Main Event, which was fittingly won by Pittsburgh native John Kulp. The PPO Points Champion was Nicholas Immekus, who had one of the best PPO series to date, claiming two titles and making half a dozen final table appearances. As mentioned, this was a record breaking series, as Event 17’s 414 player field was the biggest to ever come together at Rivers.
That number is because of so many different things but mainly it’s because of the love that the Rivers Poker community has for the PPO series. We’d like to thank those players, who made it easy and enjoyable to watch and follow throughout each and every tournament.
Thank you to friends, families and poker fans who followed the blog; we hopefully put out a product that was easy to read, informative, and gave you the feeling that you were right in the middle of the PPO action.
Thank you to the tournament staff, dealers and tournament directors. Every tournament was run like a well oiled machine and throughout the series, the entire Rivers Poker team showed nothing but professionalism.

Everyone played a role in making this another spectacular series, which is what you have come to expect from the Rivers Poker Room. We wish you luck, both on and off the felt, and look forward to seeing you at the next Pittsburgh Poker Open.
